WHY I PRACTICE: Practicing helps me check in with my body, mind, and soul. An assessment of sorts. Actively checking in helps create more awareness to find my way back to center- even if only for a moment, ha. It is practice after all.

WHY I TEACH: I teach because I love this practice so much. I personally find it to be so empowering & inspiring! My intention when teaching is to help cultivate more connection, whether that is more connection to one's self, more connection to community or both!

WHY I PRACTICE: As a wise person once said, “Masters don’t practice to get better; they practice to move stuff out of the way.” For me, yoga is a time to set aside the burdens of the world, clear my mind, and sweat away my troubles. It's a chance to peel back the layers and reveal my most authentic self. The physical practice of yoga has a remarkable ability to shift my mindset and change my perspective.

WHY I TEACH: I believe in the power of this practice, and I love creating a space for others to experience it. I am continually amazed by the strength of this community—the sense of belonging, connection, acceptance, and the feeling of contributing to something greater than ourselves. It’s also an honor to teach alongside such inspiring and empowering teachers, and I am grateful to be part of this team.

MY PROMISE TO YOU: I’ve practiced yoga on and off for the last 10 years. In January 2023 I completed my first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Breathe Yoga. I began teaching at Barry’s in March 2023, and completed my second 200 hour teacher training with them in January 2024. I also completed a 12 week coaching intensive with Barry’s. My training has primarily been focused on teaching Baptiste Yoga, but I've also received training in yin, restorative and foundations. I am also a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance since 2023.
A lot of people have asked why I completed teacher training twice. I would describe it like watching a really good movie twice - you know the whole plot and what to expect, except the second time around you get to pay extra attention to all the good details you might have missed the first time. I went through the training a second time because I wanted a deeper understanding of the Baptiste methodology and to absorb all the goodness that my teachers had to offer - I got all of that and so much more! I have learned so much about myself, I've gained an amazing community and I’ve been able to sharpen my skills as a teacher.

WHY I PRACTICE: I practice to explore how yogic philosophy is unfolding in my life. With a background in engineering, vocal study, and a blossoming artistic journey, I strive to synthesize life's creative modalities both on and off the mat. Yoga embodies this synthesis.

WHY I TEACH: I teach to honor the balance of learning (receiving) and serving (offering). I integrate tools from Vocal Science, Vocal Sound Healing, Vision Science, creative expression, and trauma-informed teaching. Teaching you holds me accountable to the present moment.

MY PROMISE TO YOU: To be present and creative as your guide. To listen and adapt as your student.

MY TRAINING: Vocal Yoga Levels 1&2, Vocal Sound Healing, 200-Hour YTT (2019, 2021, 2022), Art of Assisting, 100-Hour Level 1, Y12SR Peer Support Guide
